  The global surge in energy demand, the increase in the proportion of renewable energy, and the requirement for flexibility in power systems are all driving the rapid development of the energy storage industry. After experiencing the "internal competition" in 2024, major energy storage companies are accelerating their "territory expansion" driven by technological breakthroughs, policy support, market demand, and competition upgrades, pushing forward large-scale "big" energy storage station projects to seize the next "key point".

  Battery China learns that recently, the 200MW/800MWh independent energy storage power station project in Hengshui, Hebei, has been successfully connected to the grid and is operating stably. It is reported that this project is currently the largest single-unit scale string-type energy storage power station in China. As a core equipment supplier for this project, Far East Battery provided advanced energy storage battery solutions, ensuring high safety and efficient, reliable operation of the customer's project, winning high praise from the owner.

  

  It is understood that the project consists of 40 energy storage units, each with a capacity of 5MW/20MWh. The comprehensive solution provided by Far East Battery includes 160 units of 5MWh DC-side energy storage containers, 40 units of 5MW string-type PCS integrated boost machines, one intelligent EMS energy management system, and highly reliable Far East cables.

  Notably, the energy storage power station adopts Far East Battery's self-developed PowerSTROM 5000 series liquid-cooled energy storage container, equipped with large-capacity 314Ah cells, achieving a single-set capacity of 5.016MWh. The product features a standard 20-foot single-side door design, multi-level fire protection structure, and intelligent temperature control system, effectively improving the system's cycle life and safety.

  Moreover, the 5MW converter boost integrated machine in the project is also a highlight. It consists of one 5000kVA boost transformer and 24 units of 215kW string-type PCS, significantly reducing cluster circulating currents, improving charge-discharge efficiency, and increasing throughput during the operational cycle. It is reported that this project is also the largest scale project using string-type PCS in China at present.

  The successful grid connection and operation of this project showcase Far East Battery's solid overall strength and leading position in the energy storage field, highlighting its "growth potential" accumulated through years of dedication to lithium batteries, significant market foresight, and profound technical accumulation.
